This file describes how to test the apps that required login by using the snapshot feature of Android emulator.
Please create a fresh emulator with 'Nexus 7' for each crash bug before do the following instructions.
Standard Test Procedure
```
cd scripts/
avdmanager create avd --force --name test1 --package 'system-images;android-25;google_apis;x86' --abi google_apis/x86 --sdcard 1024M --device "Nexus 7"
```
The name of avd can be self-defined.
Remember to go to the folder of the created avd and find config.ini
```
vi config.ini
```
And add these lines.
```
disk.dataPartition.size=1024M
vm.heapSize=256
hw.ramSize=2048
```
Then start the emulator:
```
emulator -port 5554 -avd test1 -no-window &
cd scripts/
bash -x copy_dummy_documents.sh emulator-5554
```
Use adb deivces to check whther the emulator is online
```
cd test_apk_folder/
adb -s emulator-5554 install -g apk_name
python3 login_script.py emulator-5554 “Nexus 7”
```
This act will start the uiautomator2 for the login process ,make sure to check the results:LOGIN SUCCESS or LOGIN FAILED
When the login is successful, stop the emulator to save state.
```
adb -s emulator-5554 emu kill
```
The testing logic of loginned app is to use the feature of the read-only option of the emulators, and the --snapshot function ensures the test start with the loginned state
The testing start with such paradigm:
```
python3 themis.py --avd test1 --apk ../apk_location/apk_name -o ../test
_results_location/ --time 6h --repeat 5 --wait 1 --tool_name --snapshot --offset n
```
To instantiate the process:
```
$ cd scripts/
$ emulator -avd Android7.1 -no-window &
