Gabor Horvath c963abc492 [Templight] Template Instantiation Observer
This patch adds a base-class called TemplateInstantiationObserver which gets
notified whenever a template instantiation is entered or exited during
semantic analysis. This is a base class used to implement the template
profiling and debugging tool called
Templight (https://github.com/mikael-s-persson/templight).

The patch also makes a few more changes:

* ActiveTemplateInstantiation class is moved out of the Sema class (so it can be used with inclusion of Sema.h).
* CreateFrontendAction function in front-end utilities is given external linkage (not longer a hidden static function).
* TemplateInstObserverChain data member added to Sema class to hold the list of template-inst observers.
* Notifications to the template-inst observer are added at the key places where templates are instantiated.

Akira Hatanaka 9018322d0f Add support for attribute 'trivial_abi'.
The 'trivial_abi' attribute can be applied to a C++ class, struct, or
union. It makes special functions of the annotated class (the destructor
and copy/move constructors) to be trivial for the purpose of calls and,
as a result, enables the annotated class or containing classes to be
passed or returned using the C ABI for the underlying type.

When a type that is considered trivial for the purpose of calls despite
having a non-trivial destructor (which happens only when the class type
or one of its subobjects is a 'trivial_abi' class) is passed to a
function, the callee is responsible for destroying the object.

list:

Serge Pavlov 9fadf2235f Refactor functions PrintTemplateArgumentList
These functions were defined as static members of TemplateSpecializationType.
Now they are moved to namespace level. Previously there were different
implementations for lists containing TemplateArgument and TemplateArgumentLoc,
now these implementations share the same code.

This change is a result of refactoring patch D40508. NFC.

Volodymyr Sapsai dab9c6a032 [Sema] Prevent InstantiateClass from checking unrelated exception specs.
Sema::InstantiateClass should check only exception specs added during
class instantiation and ignore already present delayed specs. This fixes
a case where we instantiate a class before parsing member initializers,
check exceptions for a different class and fail to find a member
initializer. Which is required for comparing exception specs for
explicitly-defaulted and implicit default constructor. With the fix we
are still checking exception specs but only after member initializers
are present.

Removing errors in crash-unparsed-exception.cpp is acceptable according
to discussion in PR24000 because other compilers accept code in
crash-unparsed-exception.cpp as valid.

Richard Smith 8f8ada1d40 PR33552: Distinguish between declarations that are owned by no module and
declarations that are owned but unconditionally visible.

This allows us to set declarations as visible even if they have a local owning
module, without losing information. In turn, that means that our Objective-C
support can keep on incorrectly assuming the "hidden" bit on the declaration is
the whole story with regard to name visibility. This will also be useful once
we support the C++ Modules TS export semantics.

Objective-C name visibility is still incorrect in any case where the "hidden"
bit is not the complete story: for instance, in Objective-C++ the set of
visible categories will be wrong during template instantiation, and with local
submodule visibility enabled it will be wrong when building modules. Fixing that
will require a major overhaul of how visibility is handled for Objective-C (and
particularly for categories).

Richard Smith 2695ac7bec Fix a couple of class template argument deduction crashes with libc++'s tuple.
RecursiveASTVisitor was not properly recursing through a
SubstTemplateTypeParmTypes, resulting in crashes in pack expansion where we
couldn't always find an unexpanded pack within a pack expansion.

We also have an issue where substitution of deduced template arguments for an
implicit deduction guide creates the "impossible" case of naming a
non-dependent member of the current instantiation, but within a specialization
that is actually instantiated from a different (partial/explicit)
specialization of the template. We resolve this by declaring that constructors
that do so can only be used to deduce specializations of the primary template.
I'm running this past CWG to see if people agree this is the right thing to do.

Richard Smith 64982ec808 Switch from using a DiagnosticTrap and a note for "while defining a special
member function" context notes to registering an entry on the context stack.

Also reorder the steps within defining special members to be consistent.

This has a few benefits: if multiple diagnostics are produced while checking
such a member, the note is now attached to the first such diagnostic rather
than the last, this prepares us for persisting these diagnostics between the
point at which we require the implicit instantiation of a template and the
point at which that instantiation is actually performed, and this fixes some
cases where we would fail to produce a full note stack leading back to user
code in the case of such a diagnostic.

The reordering exposed a case where we could recursively attempt to define a
defaulted destructor while we're already defining one (and other such cases
also appear to be possible, with or without this change), so this change also
reuses the "willHaveBody" flag on function declarations to track that we're in
the middle of synthesizing a body for the function and bails out if we try to
define a function that we're already defining.

Richard Smith 1a04b13fd8 Fix tracking of whether the previous template instantiation stack matches the current one.
Rather than attempting to compare whether the previous and current top of
context stack are "equal" (which fails for a number of reasons, such as the
context stack entries containing pointers to objects on the stack, or reaching
the same "top of stack" entry through two different paths), track the depth of
context stack at which we last emitted a note and invalidate it when we pop the
context stack to less than that depth.

This causes us to emit some missing "in instantiation of" notes and to stop
emitting redundant "in instantiation of" stacks matching the previous stack in
rare cases.

We still have an issue here for default template arguments that recursively

limit. However, currently we will typically run out of stack before we reach

David Majnemer 9b3527b069 [Sema] Don't crash when a field w/ a mem-initializer clashes with a record name
It is possible for a field and a class to have the same name. In such
cases, performing lookup for the field might return a result set with
more than one entry. An overzealous assertion fired, causing us to
crash instead of using the non-class lookup result.

This fixes PR28060.

Richard Smith 95ae53ba5d Produce better pretty stack traces from crashes in template instantiation: add
pretty stack trace entries for all cases where we instantiate the definition of
something, and include the fully-qualified name with template arguments in the
name of the instantiated entity.

Hans Wennborg 0cbd9c038b Re-commit r270748 "clang-cl: Treat dllimport explicit template instantiation definitions as declarations (PR27810, PR27811)"
Also make explicit instantiation decls not apply to nested classes when
targeting MSVC. That dll attributes are not inherited by inner classes
might be the explanation for MSVC's behaviour here.

Richard Smith 9821058530 Preserve the FoundDecl when performing overload resolution for constructors.
This is in preparation for C++ P0136R1, which switches the model for inheriting
constructors over from synthesizing a constructor to finding base class
constructors (via using shadow decls) when looking for derived class
constructors.

Richard Smith 6ddd583f7f [modules] Enforce the rules that an explicit or partial specialization must be
declared before it is used. Because we don't use normal name lookup to find
these, the normal code to filter out non-visible names from name lookup results
does not apply.

Richard Smith 00980eb82f Make sure to perform dependent access checks when instantiating a
lambda-expression. We don't actually instantiate the closure type / operator()
in the template in order to produce the closure type / operator() in the
instantiation, so this isn't caught by the normal path.

Reid Kleckner 52f870716d [dllexport] Sort out emission order of delayed exported classes
Relands r260194 with a fix. If we have a template that transitions from
an extern template to an explicitly instantiated dllexport template, we
would add that class to the delayed exported class list without flushing
it.

For explicit instantiations, we can just flush the list of delayed
classes immediately. We don't have to worry about the bug fixed in
r260194 in this case because explicit instantiations can only occur at
file and namespace scope.

Fixes PR26490.
